Externships

We are pleased to offer veterinary student externships. Over the years, students from the Atlantic Veterinary College, Ontario Veterinary College, and other academic institutions have completed rotations at Avon Animal Hospital. Avon offers a haul-in facility, boasting an indoor treatment area, stocks and stalls complete with all necessary supplies for overnight care. Two large outdoor paddocks with run-in sheds are available. Dedicated and experienced staff, including registered veterinary technicians, make up our Equine Team to assist with procedures, treatment and care. A large surgical suite and padded recovery stall allows for elective procedures requiring general inhalation and injectable anesthesia.
